Ilker Hacihaliloglu is a Founder and CTO of PONStech since 2021. Ilker is an Assistant Professor at The University of British Columbia since 2021, where they focus on citations from https://scholar.google.ca/citations?user=dA7G64kAAAAJ&hl=en. From 2014 to 2021, they were an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University, where they directed the Computer Assisted Surgery and Therapy laboratory. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for Hip Health and Mobility. From 2005 to 2011, they were a Post-doctoral research fellow and Research Engineer at the University of British Columbia, where they developed methods for feature enhancement from ultrasound images and sparse recovery techniques for fast ultrasound image acquisition and image enhancement. From 2001 to 2005, they were a Research Engineer and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Istanbul Technical University-Center for Satellite Communication and Remote Sensing, where they worked on international projects and taught the laboratory section for the undergraduate BIL 101 Introduction to Introduction to Computing and Information Systems course.

Ilker Hacihaliloglu received their B.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 2001. Ilker then went on to obtain their M.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 2004. In 2010, they completed their Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of British Columbia.
