Ikram Farah

Ikram Farah has a strong background in public relations and corporate affairs. Ikram most recently worked as a Senior Public Relations Manager at Pontosense. Prior to that, they held the role of Consultant at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, where they led various projects including a corporate communication video series and the enhancement of the company's DEI strategy. Ikram also co-led the firm's first BIPOC resource group.

Before that, Ikram worked as an Account Executive at Edelman, where they secured government tech procurement deals and led the firm's BIPOC resource group. Ikram also served as an intern at Edelman.

In addition to their agency experience, Ikram served as the President and CEO of McMaster Students Union, where they formed partnerships and implemented initiatives to benefit undergraduate students. Ikram also held various roles at McMaster University, including MacPherson Institute Student Partner, Compass Information Centre staff, Residence Advisor, and Student Library Assistant. During their time at McMaster, they focused on marketing, data analysis, event planning, and customer service.

Ikram Farah completed their high school education at Rick Hansen Secondary School from 2010 to 2014, earning a Diploma with a field of study in High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates. Ikram then pursued their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Labour Studies at McMaster University from 2014 to 2018.
