Founded in 2011, Pop Up’s mission is to empower and advocate for a more diverse next generation of children’s books creators. We achieve this through our Pathways programmes, including our flagship Pathways Into Children’s Publishing, a heavily subsidised, two-year programme for aspiring/emerging illustrators from under-presented backgrounds. We have expertise in producing and fundraising, innovative programme development and delivery, engaging people and communities that are under-represented in the arts, and all levels of arts eduction from early years to adults. Our specialism is in developing illustrators and writers and preparing them to work in the field.
