Jo-Ann Higgs is an experienced educator with a strong background in teaching and school leadership. Currently serving as a Teacher of English and Writing Skills at Pope John XXIII High School since September 2011, Jo-Ann previously held the position of Principal at St. Joseph Regional School from 1982 to 2011, where significant achievements included establishing the school as a Star School of the Diocese of Paterson and overseeing a major renovation that created a state-of-the-art Library Media Center. Prior to the principalship, Jo-Ann taught English to grades 6-8 and temporarily took on the role of acting principal, while also contributing as the Yearbook and Student Council Moderator. Jo-Ann holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, both from the College of St. Elizabeth.
