Matthew Abate, P.E., is a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer at Popli Design Group since December 2018, where management of the structural engineering function and supervision of a team of three are key responsibilities. Prior to this, Matthew worked at Stantec from 2005 to November 2018, starting as a Structural Engineer and advancing to Discipline Structural Lead, overseeing a team of up to eight engineers and technicians. From 1998 to 2005, Matthew served as a Structural Engineer at LaBella Associates, contributing to various projects such as bridges and building renovations. Matthew began their career at Klug Systems | Larsen Engineers from 1985 to 1998 as a Structural Engineer. Matthew holds both a Master of Engineering (MEng) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering from the University at Buffalo.
