Alissa McDonald

Alissa McDonald has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Alissa currently serves as the Founder and CEO of PopPD, a company they established in 2022. Prior to this, Alissa founded and led Teacher Hustle University, where they provided instruction in business foundations, marketing, and launch strategy to educators. Alissa developed a framework to help educators package their ideas into marketable products and successfully executed over 100 program launches.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Alissa worked in the South Glens Falls School District as a Teacher from 2008 to 2022. During their tenure, they assumed the role of Instructional Team Leader, leading team meetings and driving curriculum initiatives to enhance student learning.

Additionally, Alissa served as the Director of Programs at Amber Williams from 2020 to 2022, where they developed an educational product focused on brand storytelling. In their role, they led curriculum and instructional design and successfully launched the program.

Alissa also has experience as a Marketing Lead at Lake and Track Rentals, where they developed a strong brand identity, increased customer loyalty, and established a strong presence in the community. Moreover, they co-founded Downtown Charm in 2011, where they served as the Marketing Lead and played a key role in building the company's brand, fostering relationships with local businesses, and organizing community initiatives and events.

Alissa's dedication to giving back is evident through their volunteer work with Big Brothers Big Sisters from 2007 to 2020. Alissa'sdiverse work experience demonstrates their expertise in business, marketing, education, and community engagement.

Alissa McDonald's education history consists of a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, which they obtained from The College of Saint Rose between 2007 and 2010. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Childhood Education and Special Education from the same institution between 2004 and 2007. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained a certification in Marking & Creativity Masterclass with Seth Godin from WOBI in April 2021.
