Shashank Gaur

Shashank Gaur, PhD, currently serves as the Head of Innovation at Elmhurst Milked, LLC, leading the Innovation and R&D Department to enhance the product portfolio and revenue growth in the global plant-based industry. Simultaneously, Shashank holds the position of Vice President of Innovation at Steuben Foods. Previous roles include Research & Development Scientist at John I. Haas, Inc., where Shashank invented and commercialized the patented product HopGuard III®, and various positions at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Abbott, and the Sustainable Marketplaces Laboratory, highlighting extensive experience in product development and research within the food science sector. Shashank holds multiple advanced degrees, including a PhD in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is currently pursuing an MBA in Entrepreneurship at Carnegie Mellon University.
