David Bergendahl

David Bergendahl is a co-founder of Hugo Insurance Services and Popular Lab Co., both launched in January 2016. At Hugo Insurance Services, David focuses on providing pay-when-you-drive liability insurance that is simple, flexible, and affordable. Popular Lab Co. aims to address community issues and enhance accessibility to car insurance for approximately 4 million uninsured drivers in California. David serves as the President of The Heineman Foundation and has held strategic roles at J.P. Morgan and Slated, Inc. David's career in investment banking includes positions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Merrill Lynch, starting as a summer analyst. David holds a degree in History & Political Science from Duke University and completed a Product Management Immersive at General Assembly in 2014.
