Eric González Hernández, CPA has a comprehensive work experience in the banking industry, specifically with Banco Popular de Puerto Rico. Eric started their career in 1996 as a Management Trainee, where they gained knowledge in bank operations, resource management, and professional development.

Throughout their career, they have held various roles with increasing responsibilities. As an Asset Based Lending Portfolio Manager from 1998 to 2001, they successfully procured new commercial borrowers, resulting in a significant loan portfolio increase. Eric also analyzed the financial performance of clients and prepared annual reviews and credit petitions.

From 2003 to 2005, Eric served as a Commercial Banking Center Team Leader & Lending Officer, where they managed and enhanced a $90 million loan portfolio. Eric recruited and trained the Financial Analyst Group and developed comprehensive financial, operational, and strategic plans for promising ventures.

In subsequent roles as a Senior Lender and CBC Manager, Eric supervised the commercial credit approval process for multiple regions, totaling billions of dollars in commercial loans. Eric structured customers' financial proposals, evaluated credit risks, and assessed profitability risks/rewards based on return on assets and capital invested.

Eric's most recent role, starting in 2011, is as the Commercial Credit Division Vice President & CCC Manager. Eric manages the credit analysis process for commercial credits over $500,000, totaling over $500 million in commercial credit loans. Eric recommends credit terms and conditions for loan proposals and supervises a team of Credit Officers and Credit Analysts.

Eric González Hernández, CPA earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accountancy from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts from 1991 to 1995. Eric then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin from 2001 to 2003.
