Jan C. Maldonado

Jan C. Maldonado, PMP, LSSBB, currently serves as a Process Improvement Advisor at Popular since February 2020, where responsibilities include defining and implementing a new Quality Assurance Methodology and managing SBA-PPP loan applications related to the Covid-19 Stimulus Package. Previously, Jan held the position of Senior Business Analyst in the Business Rationalization Unit at FirstBank from November 2015, serving as a subject matter expert in process excellence, capacity analysis, and project management. Jan also worked as a Senior Process Engineer Consultant at IT Developers Group ITDG from April 2012 to November 2015, providing process excellence consulting to FirstBan Corp. Other roles include Project Manager for FirstBank’s external collection process and Project Manager for the Municipality of Villalba, overseeing disaster recovery federal projects. Jan's career began as an Industrial Engineer at MM Manufacturing, where efforts focused on cost reduction and process improvement for the Fire Resistant Equipment Ensemble line. Jan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, earned between 2004 and 2011.
