Wendy Wheeler

Wendy Wheeler, MBA, CPM, currently serves as the AVP & Our People Strategic Regional Manager at Popular since November 2021. Prior experience includes serving as Human Resources Manager at the U.S. Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority from January 2015 to November 2021, where Wendy managed the overall operations of the HR Department. From February 2008 to 2015, Wendy held multiple roles at the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital & Medical Center, including Director of Personnel Management, overseeing HR operations, and Director of Recruitment & Retention, focusing on staffing programs. Earlier experience includes positions at the University of the Virgin Islands, where Wendy was a Program Specialist III and a Business Analyst I/Training Coordinator, contributing to fundraising initiatives and training programs. Wendy holds an MBA, an Associate of Arts in Accounting, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management from the University of the Virgin Islands.
