Shifatur Rahman has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Shifatur is currently the Director of Operations at Populate since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Managing Partner at Bmarketplace Ventures starting in 2022. In 2020, they served as a Board Member at Furnichaar.com and also as the Co-Founder & Managing Director at GREEHO.com, where they successfully launched Bproperty.com. Shifatur previously held the position of Founder/Managing Director at Bproperty.com Limited from 2015 to 2017. Shifatur also worked at Daraz as the Chief Operating Officer / Rocket Internet in 2015, where they played a key role in improving logistics and customer service. Before that, they were the Digital Marketing Manager at GlamBox.ME and the Chief Executive Officer at OScom BD. Shifatur's career began at Groupon in 2010 as the Business Administration Manager - Groupon Middle East, and they started their professional journey as a Website Administrator and eCommerce Specialist at Harvey Norman in 2007.

Shifatur Rahman completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of South Australia from 2003 to 2006.
