Julianne Ferris

Julianne Ferris is an accomplished educator and music professional with a diverse background. Currently serving as an Elementary Music Teacher at Poquoson City Public Schools since August 2023, Julianne shares a passion for music with students, fostering their self-expression through musical experiences. Additionally, Julianne has held the role of Worship Leader and Production Manager at Waters Edge Church since August 2021. Prior experience includes coaching at CrossFit Buckroe Beach, teaching piano and voice at Music & Arts, and serving as a substitute teacher in Newport News Public Schools. Early career roles also include working as a Recreation Assistant for the United States Air Force and as a Teacher Assistant at Denbigh Christian Academy. Julianne's career began in the US Navy, where responsibilities included damage control on the USS Abraham Lincoln. Julianne holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from California Baptist University, earned in 2016.
