Asa Burke

Asa Burke is a seasoned professional in the field of mechanical engineering, currently serving as the Senior Manager of Innovation in Rapid Diagnostics at Porex since January 2017. Prior experience at Porex includes roles as Engineering Manager and Team Lead in Product Development, as well as Product Development Engineer. Asa gained valuable experience as a Mechanical Engineer Intern at L-3 Mustang Technology, contributing to the development of an RF transparent environmental seal and utilizing FEA and GD&T for pressure vessel testing. Educational involvement includes serving as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where assistance was provided in courses such as System Dynamics & Control and Dynamics of Rigid Bodies. Asa’s early career includes various roles at Kanakuk Kamps, where camper safety and activity management were prioritized. Asa holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a High School Diploma from Heritage Christian Academy.
