Tony Sexton

Tony Sexton has over 45 years of work experience, starting in 1977 as a Jet Engine Mechanic in the USAF. Tony then worked as a Student at the University of Dayton from 1987 to 1990. Sexton joined Ethicon Endo-Surgery in 1993 as a Senior Advanced Technology Development Engineer and stayed in this role until 2003. From 2005 to 2007, they worked at TELEFLEX MEDICAL OEM as a Senior Product Development Engineer, focusing on designing and enhancing orthopedic surgical devices. In 2008, Sexton worked as a Project Engineer at BIT 7, Inc., where they led the redesign and cost reduction of a monitor Display Arm, resulting in annual savings of $200,000. Tony also worked as a Sr. Project Manager at Black Diamond Networks from 2009 to 2010, overseeing the transfer of a micro power tool product line and developing testing protocols for drug delivery systems. At Terumo, Sexton served as a Senior Engineer in R&D from 2010 to 2013, ensuring compliance with safety standards and switching components to meet regulations. Tony then joined DENTSPLY International in 2013 as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, where they contributed to the design and development of ultrasonic generators and transducers for minimally invasive oral surgery. Since 2016, Sexton has been a Senior Product Development Engineer at Porex, specializing in product development. Starting from 2022, they will hold the position of Senior Product Development Engineer at Sexton Medical Device Consulting.

Tony Sexton obtained a B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton, completing their education from 1986 to 1990.
