Ian Dennis

Ian Dennis currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Porirua City Council, a position held since December 2023. Prior to this role, Ian undertook a world travel adventure from April to December 2023, exploring diverse locations such as Albania and Uzbekistan. Ian's extensive career in financial management includes over a decade at the Ministry of Education of New Zealand where positions ranged from Chief Advisor to financial roles overseeing one of the country's largest property portfolios. Ian's professional journey also includes experience at Tax Debt Brokers, Porirua City Council, Pacific Network Communications Limited, various contract roles, Contact Energy Ltd, and Deloitte. Ian holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Graduate Diploma in Commerce from Victoria University of Wellington, complemented by a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration.
