Cherith Cobbs

Cherith Cobbs is a journalism instructor at Port Arthur Independent School District since August 2019, specializing in high school journalism, photojournalism, and yearbook production. Prior experience includes roles as a multimedia journalist at TEGNA from December 2018 to July 2019 and as a general assignment reporter with Nexstar Media Group, Inc. from November 2016 to November 2018. Additional positions held include web producer and associate producer at KARK 4 and reporting for The Gurdon Times/Prescott Picayune at GateHouse Media. Cherith's foundational education consists of a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies obtained from Henderson State University between 2010 and 2014, complemented by an internship at THV 11, where responsibilities included scriptwriting, video editing, and camera operations.
