Jamie McCarthy

Director Of FBO Operations at Port City Air

Jamie McCarthy has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Jamie started as a Sales/Field support at Commercial Industrial Elec. from 1991 to 2005. Jamie then worked as an Aircraft Technician at General Dynamics (Gulfstream) from 2007 to 2009. Jamie also worked as an Aircraft Technician at Pro-Star Aviation from 2010 to 2010 and at Jet Aviation from 2010 to 2012. Jamie then moved on to TechnicAIR in 2012 where they served as a Lead Technician/Inspector until 2016. From 2016 to 2019, Jamie worked at Gama Aviation as an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor/QC Manager. In 2019, they joined Port City Air, where they held various roles including Director of Jet Maintenance and Director of FBO Operations. Finally, in 2020, Jamie became the Director of Maintenance at Air New England, LLC.

Jamie McCarthy has a diverse education history. They began their education at East Coast Aero Tech (ECAT), studying Aviation Maintenance Technology with a focus on Airframe Mechanics and Aircraft Maintenance Technology/Technician. In 2006, Jamie returned to East Coast Aero Tech to continue their studies in Aviation Maintenance. Jamie also attended Hesser College in 2001-2002, where they pursued a degree in MCSE (Computer Science). In addition to their educational achievements, Jamie obtained the Airframe & Power Plant Inspector Authorization (A&P IA) certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in October 2007.
