Kapila Kumarathunga

Kapila Kumarathunga is an accomplished Senior Engineer Coordinator at China State Construction (CSCEC) since July 2022 and has been a Senior Engineer (Reclamation) at Port City Colombo since December 2016. With experience that includes monitoring construction of breakwaters and marine structures, quality management, and coordinating consultants, Kapila has built a robust career in engineering. Prior roles include Office Engineer at NEM Construction (Pvt) Ltd, Mining Engineer at Access Engineering PLC and MT Højgaard Danmark, and Site Engineer at China Geo-Engineering Corporation and Pihl & Søn A/S, where diverse projects in construction and mining were successfully executed. Kapila holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Moratuwa and has furthered expertise with professional project management training from CADD Centre Training Services.
