Thomas Kennedy has extensive experience in public service and technology management, serving in various roles at Broward County Government since March 1992, culminating in the position of Director of the Records, Taxes and Treasury Division, which oversees key tax collection and records management functions for the county. Previous roles within the county include Interim Director, Assistant Director, Interim Chief Information Officer, Records Automation Manager, Information Systems Manager, and Senior Systems Analyst. Prior to Broward County, Thomas held the position of Manager of Operations and Technical Support at Lehigh Corporation and worked as a Systems Programmer for the City of Gainesville. Thomas obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida, having studied there from 1978 to 1981.
