Georgina Newman has extensive experience in wildlife conservation and education, currently serving as a Gorilla Keeper and Education Officer at Howletts & Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks since 2012. In these roles, Georgina conducts public educational talks and enrichment workshops, collaborates with school and outreach groups, and organizes monthly themed activities. Previous volunteer experience includes care for various carnivore species and support for other animal sections. Additionally, Georgina completed a research internship focused on cognitive learning in gorillas and olfactory enrichment in small cats. Earlier roles include Trainee Keeper at the Wildlife Heritage Foundation and Education Assistant at Woburn Enterprises Limited. Georgina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from Nottingham Trent University.
