Wessel Kroon

Wessel Kroon is an experienced innovation practitioner currently serving as the Innovation Lead at the Port of Amsterdam since October 2022, having transitioned from a background in retail. Prior to this role, Wessel worked as the Experiment Lead at HEMA, where collaborative problem-solving and solution design were key responsibilities. Experience includes roles as a Business Analyst at Sogeti, and involvement in a complex HR transformation project at ING, focusing on project management, risk management, and agile methodologies. Early career experience as an Operations Support Analyst at Randstad involved implementing and managing customer service and payment processes. Wessel holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Information & Knowledge Management from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a VWO from Atheneum College Hageveld. Additionally, Wessel completed a summer business course at Ohio University as part of the OHIO International Consulting Program.
