James Palmer

James Palmer has a strong background in civil engineering, with their most recent position being the Head of Civil Engineering at the Port of London Authority since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Beckett Rankine as a Principal Engineer from January 2019 to September 2021, and as a Senior Engineer from June 2016 to January 2019. James also gained experience as an Assistant Engineer at Mott MacDonald from June 2012 to June 2016, and as an Assistant Specialist at Lloyd's Register from November 2011 to June 2012. James began their engineering career as an Engineering Trainee at York Sills Ltd from June 2008 to September 2010, and also worked as an Assistant Engineer at EnerG Natural Power from June 2007 to October 2007.

James Palmer's education history includes a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London. In addition to their degree, they have obtained certifications such as Member (MAPM) from the Association for Project Management in December 2020, Day Skipper from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) in 2020, and Member (CEng MICE) from the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) in 2017.
