Brian R Wilson

Brian R Wilson, PE, SE, CCM, serves as the Deputy Chief Harbor Engineer at the Port of Long Beach, overseeing construction management and ensuring compliance on various civil and marine projects since 2015. Previously, Wilson held the position of Principal Structural Engineer at Parsons, serving as a consultant project manager for military infrastructure projects. With experience as a Capital Projects Coordinator at the Port of Long Beach, Wilson managed complex capital improvements and collaborated with various stakeholders on project execution. Earlier roles include project management for the US Air Force and NAVFAC Southwest, as well as structural engineering work with MHP Structural Engineers. In addition to extensive engineering experience, Wilson contributed to academic settings as an adjunct faculty instructor at Cypress College. Academic qualifications include a BS in Civil Engineering and an MA in Music from California State University-Long Beach.
