Port of Long Beach
Kimberley Holtz, PLS, PG, currently serves as the Director of Survey at the Port of Long Beach since March 2019 and has been a Geologist in the City of Long Beach's Energy Resource Department since February 2011. Holtz's extensive experience includes roles such as Consultant Land Surveyor at DMc Engineering, Adjunct Professor teaching GPS and land surveying at Rancho Santiago Community College District, and Senior Surveyor for the City of Long Beach's Public Works Department. Additionally, Holtz has held positions as Project Surveyor at Psomas and Surveyor Manager at DMC Engineering, overseeing various surveying projects and teams. Holtz began a career in surveying with the County of Orange, contributing significantly to the establishment of the county's GPS network. Academically, Holtz holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from California State University, Long Beach, and is pursuing a Master of Science in Transportation Management at San José State University.
