Melissa Hilsabeck, EIT, is an experienced civil engineer currently serving as a Capital Projects Coordinator-IV at the Port of Long Beach since July 2021, following a prior role as Capital Projects Coordinator-II. Melissa has been actively volunteering with the Platelet Disorder Support Association (PDSA) since June 2010. Previous positions include serving as President of the Younger Member Forum for ASCE Orange County from October 2020 to September 2021, and working as a Civil Designer at LPA, Inc. from October 2020 to July 2021. Melissa gained valuable experience as a Design Engineer at KPFF Consulting Engineers from September 2015 to June 2020, and previously as a Civil Engineering Intern from July 2014 to June 2015. Early experience includes a Civil Engineering Summer Internship at SmithGroup in 2013. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
