Sara Baumann

Sara Baumann currently serves as the Assistant Director of Government Relations at the Port of Long Beach, a position held since June 2022. Prior to this role, Sara held several positions in government affairs, including Government Relations Officer at the City of Long Beach and Government Affairs Analyst, where responsibilities included tracking legislation, researching public policy, and preparing analytical reports. With experience dating back to an Assembly Fellow position at the California State Assembly, where Sara gained bipartisan support for bills, Sara has developed strong relationships with elected officials and successfully managed grant applications and community outreach efforts. Sara holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, both from California State University, Long Beach.
