Joshua Polston is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in planning and economics. Currently serving as a Senior Planner at the Port of Oakland since January 2006 and as a Professor of Economics at Laney College since 2005, Joshua has contributed significantly to both sectors. Prior roles include Planner positions at MuniFinancial from 2004 to 2006 and Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton from 1999 to 2004, specializing in airport finance and infrastructure. Earlier experience includes working as a Land Use Planner for the County of San Mateo from 1991 to 1994. Joshua holds two Master's Degrees in City/Urban, Community, and Regional Planning from UCLA and the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Economy from UC Berkeley, Rausser College of Natural Resources.
