Marc Huls has extensive work experience in emergency communications and dispatching. Marc started their career in 1998 as an Emergency Services Dispatcher I at Lincon & Lancaster County 911 Emergency Communications, where they processed emergency and non-emergency information and dispatched appropriate personnel for police, fire, and medical situations. In 2000, Marc joined the Port of Portland as a Communications Dispatcher, where they handled emergency and non-emergency phone calls and radio transmissions for Portland International Airport. Throughout their time at the Port of Portland, Marc held various roles including Lead Communications Dispatcher, Communications Center Administrator, and currently, Senior Manager of the Airport Communications Center. In their roles, Marc has been responsible for training, scheduling, performance tracking, policy and procedure documentation, and coordination of CAD administration. Marc is also a subject matter expert, trainer, and agency administrator for the Regional Justice Information Network.
Marc Huls, ENP, has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Arts and Letters from Portland State University, which they completed from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 1991 to 1998, where they studied Biology, although they did not obtain a degree in that field.
