Joop de Jong

Joop de Jong is an experienced contract manager with extensive expertise in infrastructure projects, primarily at Rijkswaterstaat and the Port of Rotterdam. Since May 2020, Joop has managed the A16 Rotterdam project and continues to oversee the Theemswegtrace project since December 2016. Joop's career spans several roles within Rijkswaterstaat from 1995 to 2016, including leading complex infrastructure projects and serving as a senior project manager and senior execution engineer. Joop is the owner of Masterboats, specializing in the production and global distribution of materials for remote-controlled sailing. Previous roles include technical inspector at Det Norske Veritas BV and manager at Ingenieursbureau Gronica, focusing on inspection and maintenance in the petrochemical industry. Joop has received education from TSM Business School and is trained in various engineering and project management competencies.
