Laurents Meijer

Laurents Meijer has extensive experience in maritime operations, currently serving as Duty Officer for Verkeer and Haven Coördinatie Centrum at the Port of Rotterdam since January 2019. Prior to this role, Laurents held various positions at Tideway Offshore Solutions from August 2012 to December 2018, including Chief Officer and Second Officer, where responsibilities encompassed bridge department leadership, safety compliance, stability calculations, and equipment mobilization. Laurents began a career in maritime through apprenticeship roles and progressively advanced through ranks at companies such as Vroon Offshore Services and Jumbo Shipping, holding positions as Second Officer and Safety Officer. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Maritime Operations from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and an MBO in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Scheepvaart en Transport College Rotterdam.
