Michiel Nijdam

Michiel Nijdam is a seasoned professional in the field of port and transport economics with extensive experience in strategic roles. Since March 2015, Michiel has served as the Head of Strategy at the Port of Rotterdam, offering advisory support on corporate strategy and commercial development. Prior to this, Michiel held various leadership positions, including Executive Director at RHV and Senior Researcher at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Currently, Michiel is involved in multiple advisory and board roles, including as a member of the Supervisory Board at Connekt and an Advisory Board Member at the Erasmus School of Economics. Academically, Michiel holds a Master of Science and a Doctorate in Business and Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, specializing in Port and Transport Economics.
