Brian Jensen

Firearms Instructor at Port of San Diego

Brian Jensen has over 30 years of work experience, primarily with the Port of San Diego. Brian started their career in 1992 as a Police Officer and progressed through various roles such as Senior Police Officer, Investigator, and Patrol Sergeant. From 2007 to 2011, they served as an Investigations Supervisor, overseeing a team of investigators and conducting criminal investigations. Brian then transitioned into training roles, first as a Training Sergeant and later as a Training Lieutenant. In 2014, they briefly served as an Acting Harbor Police Lieutenant before becoming a Patrol Lieutenant in 2018. Throughout their career, Brian has been heavily involved in firearms training, serving as a Firearms Instructor and managing a team of police firearms instructors. In 2023, they joined the San Diego Community College District as a Firearms Instructor.

Brian Jensen attended San Diego State University from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government. Brian later pursued further education at the Naval Postgraduate School from 2017 to 2019, obtaining a Masters Degree in Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Firefighting and Related Protective Services.
