Marco Cromartie

Director, General Services at Port of San Diego

Marco Cromartie's work experience begins in 2003 as an Executive Officer for the US Navy at NAS JRB New Orleans, LA. In 2005, they became the Director of Materiel at the Office of the Secretary of Defense. From 2006 to 2008, they served as the Commanding Officer at NAF Washington DC. Marco then led a HQ staff as the Director of Total Force Manpower at Navy Installations Command from 2008 to 2010. Cromartie later became the Commander of Navy Region Southwest, Reserve Component Command from 2010 to 2012. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as the Director of Operations at Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR). In 2014, they transitioned to the role of Transitioning Naval Officer and then took on the position of Director of General Services at the Port of San Diego in 2015, where they currently work.

Marco Cromartie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland. Marco also holds a Master of Science degree in Systems Management from the Naval Postgraduate School. Additionally, they obtained an MBA from the University of West Florida. Marco has participated in a seminar called Seminar XXI Fellow in Foreign Politics, International Relations, and the National Interest at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Marco further pursued the Navy Corporate Business Course at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Lastly, they completed the Navy Fighter Weapons School program at Naval Air Station Miramar, California, where they were recognized as a TOPGUN Graduate.
