Glenn Fernandes

Glenn joined the Port in July of 2017 and leads the Internal Audit team. He has nearly 20 years of Internal Audit experience. His deep experience and ability to set strategic objectives while not losing sight of detail make Glenn an exceptional leader as the Port continues to value providing fiscal transparency and accountability to the communities it serves.

Prior to joining the Port, Glenn was an Internal Audit Director at Verizon.

In addition to having significant experience in leading teams, Glenn is able to envision the end result while remaining pragmatic in his approach. At the Port of Seattle, he has set up robust systems of control and spent significant time assuring that those controls are not only effective but also efficient, replicable, and practical.

Glenn is a licensed CPA in the State of Washington and holds a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification.
