John Evered

John Evered is a seasoned environmental professional with extensive experience in aquatic and sediment cleanup management. Currently serving as Senior Manager for Aviation Environmental Compliance at the Port of Seattle since January 2023, John previously held multiple roles at the Washington State Department of Ecology, including Aquatic Lands Cleanup Unit Supervisor and Aquatic Toxicologist/Cleanup Project Manager. John has a strong background in overseeing remedial investigations and ecological risk assessments, while also managing cleanup activities under various regulatory frameworks. Earlier career experiences include positions at the Washington State Department of Natural Resources, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission. Educational qualifications include a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Penn State University, a Master’s in Coastal Management from Bournemouth University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Navigation and Ocean Science from the University of Plymouth.
