Sandra Kilroy

Senior Director of Environment & Sustainability at Port of Seattle

Sandra Kilroy most recently served as the Port's Senior Director Engineering, Environment, and Sustainability for the Maritime Division where she was involved with the shepherding of the Northwest Ports Clean Air Strategy, a groundbreaking agreement between the Ports of Seattle, Tacoma, and Vancouver Fraser Port Authority BC, which commits the three ports to go carbon neutral by 2050.

Prior to coming to the Port, Kilroy was the Assistant Director at King County’s Wastewater Treatment Division where she managed the organizational health of the largest wastewater utility in the Pacific Northwest. Kilroy has over 30 years of experience in the environmental industry and served on several boards including the Center for Sustainable Infrastructure, the National Association of Clean Water Agencies, and the Coalition for Clean Water.

Kilroy will be leading a broad team already known for its transformational leadership in the fields of the Environment, Sustainability, and Engineering. The Port of Seattle has made strong commitments on decarbonization, waste reduction, improving quality of life, and restoring habitat, and is looking forward to her leadership in bringing these efforts to even greater heights in work across the organization.
