Kyle Smith

Kyle Smith has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Kyle currently works as a Project Manager at the Port of Tacoma, a position they began in April 2022. Prior to this, they also held the same role at Terracon from August 2014 to May 2021. Before that, they worked as an Engineering Consultant at Google from August 2009 to August 2014. Kyle also served as a Design Engineer at Sitts & Hill Engineers, Inc. from March 2008 to July 2009, and as a Project Engineer at Pacific Northwest Engineering from May 2007 to March 2008. Kyle'searlier experience includes working as an Engineer Intern at the City of Federal Way from February 2005 to December 2006, and as a System Administrator at VMC from July 2003 to May 2004. Kyle'scareer began as an Operations Engineer at Microsoft from July 2002 to June 2003.

Kyle Smith attended Saint Martin's University from 2004 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. During their time at the university, they also pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. In August 2017 and August 2022, Kyle obtained Professional Engineer certifications from the California Department of Consumer Affairs and the Washington State Department of Licensing, respectively.
