Marty Kapsh

Patrol Officer-Port Security at Port of Tacoma

Marty Kapsh has a diverse work experience in law enforcement. Marty started their career as a Police Officer at Subase Bangor in Bremerton, WA in April 1982 and worked there until July 1984. Marty then joined the Pierce County Sheriff's Department in July 1984 as a Deputy Sheriff and served for 15 years until June 1999. In July 2000, Marty joined the Port of Tacoma as a Patrol Officer-Port Security. In addition to their patrol duties, they also instructed ICS/NIMS classes within Pierce County. Marty worked with the Washington State National Guard Partnership Program to provide instruction on Port Security and ICS/NIMS in the Ports of Bangkok and Laem Chabang in the Kingdom of Thailand.

Marty Kapsh attended Ft. Steilacoom Community College from 1979 to 1981 and earned an Associate of Criminal Justice/Corrections degree. The field of study is not specified.
