Melissa Robinson

Melissa Robinson has extensive work experience in various roles related to IT systems and business analysis. Melissa is currently working at the Port of Tacoma as a Senior IT Systems Analyst, where their responsibilities include managing and maintaining enterprise-class business software applications and platforms. Melissa collaborates with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and technical peers to identify and implement innovative solutions, reduce technical complexity, and promote a data-driven culture.

Prior to their current role, Melissa worked at Absher Construction Company as a Business Systems Analyst, where they played a key role in designing and launching efficient business, financial, and operations systems. Melissa gathered and analyzed data to support business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements, and generated reports with probable causes and solutions to system issues.

Before that, Melissa worked at Expedia Group as a Process Analyst. Melissa'srole involved analyzing and improving business processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Melissa held this position from January 2016 to March 2020.

Melissa's early career includes a role as a Senior Knowledge Specialist at Flow International, where they managed technical knowledge within the company and at the interface with customers. Melissa developed sustainable tools and systems for knowledge management, moderated and maintained those tools, and promoted knowledge generation, capture, and reuse. Melissa held this position from November 2004 to October 2015.

Melissa Robinson obtained their Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Applications Programming from ITT Technical Institute. Melissa attended the institute from 2002 to 2004.
