Scott Hooton

Scott Hooton has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Scott started their career at Hilltop Research as a Research Associate, analyzing grain and food products. Scott then joined TA Gleason Associates as a Staff Geologist, where they supervised drilling crews and conducted geophysical surveys. After that, they worked at ATEC Environmental Consultants as a Geoscience Group Leader, responsible for preparing reports and budgets.

In 1991, Scott joined BP as an Environmental Professional, managing cleanup projects in various states and obtaining regulatory closure for a quarter of their assigned projects. Scott was later promoted to Group Leader and Environmental Business Manager, overseeing a portfolio of 140 projects and managing multimillion-dollar annual expenditures.

Most recently, Scott worked at the Port of Tacoma as a Program Manager, responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of environmental remediation projects. Scott provided strategic plans, budgets, and recommendations related to property transfers and environmental liabilities.

Scott Hooton obtained a BA and BS degree in Mineralogy and Geology from Miami University, where they attended from 1979 to 1983. In June 2002, they obtained certifications as a Geologist and Hydrogeologist from the State of Washington.
