Mike Bomar serves as the Chief Economic Strategy Officer at the Port of Vancouver USA since May 2018, having previously held the position of Director of Economic Development. Prior experience includes serving as President of the Columbia River Economic Development Council from October 2013 to April 2018 and as Executive Director of the Southwest Washington Contractors Association from July 2010 to October 2013. Additionally, Mike Bomar was involved with the Building Industry Association of Clark County in various roles from 2004 to June 2010, and had a brief stint in professional baseball as a pitcher for the San Diego Padres' minor league affiliate in 2002. Educational qualifications include a Professional Port Manager certification from the American Association of Port Authorities, a Maritime Port Executive designation from the International Association of Maritime Port Executives, an MPA from Washington State University, and a BS in Political Communication from the University of Washington.
