Thomas Hobbs has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Thomas currently holds the position of Chief of Staff at Port Tampa Bay, a role they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Operations & Government Relations at Liberty Partners of Tallahassee, LLC from January 2013 to May 2016, where they led strategic government relations campaigns and negotiated public policies for various high-profile clients.
Before entering the private sector, Thomas worked in the public sector as the Deputy Staff Director in the Office of the Majority Whip for the Florida House of Representatives from December 2008 to January 2011. Thomas was responsible for managing the communication flow of information and providing legislative analysis to members. Thomas also held the position of Director of Special Projects Unit in the Office of the Governor - Florida from January 2004 to December 2008.
Thomas's professional journey began in 2002 at Office Depot, where they worked as an Assistant Merchant.
