Torrey Chambliss has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. They began their career in 2006 as a Program Associate at the Meridian International Center, where they worked until 2007. In 2008, they briefly worked as a Consultant at the American Chamber of Commerce Mexico. From 2009 to 2014, they served as a Research Analyst at the Tampa-Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation. In 2010, they joined the Foreign Trade Zone No. 79 -- Tampa Bay as an Administrator. Finally, since 2014, they have been working at Port Tampa Bay / FTZ No. 79, holding the position of Director, Foreign-Trade Zone & Cargo Business Development.
Torrey Chambliss holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Eastern Illinois University, which was completed in 2000. Following this, Torrey pursued a Master of Arts degree in International Relations at Eastern Illinois University, which was obtained by 2002. Later, Torrey attended the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and completed an MBA in International Business Administration by 2010. Additionally, Torrey has obtained certifications as an Accredited Zone Specialist (AZS) from The National Association of Foreign-Trade Zones and as a Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
