Leonie Newgent is a seasoned logistics and administrative professional with extensive experience in operational coordination and client communication across several organizations. Currently serving as a Logistics Coordinator at Port Waratah Coal Services since February 2020, Leonie previously held roles at Momentum Rail as a Rostering Live Run Coordinator, focusing on compliance and staff management for operational rostering, and at Aurizon as a Live Run Coordinator, where logistics expertise ensured timely delivery of critical cargo. Earlier experience includes positions in administration and support at Ansaldo STS and Telstra, demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills. Leonie holds a HSC from Gateshead High School and further education from TAFE NSW.

Port Waratah Coal Services have been receiving, stockpiling, blending and loading coal for export in the Port of Newcastle for 40 years. We own and manage the Kooragang and Carrington Coal Terminals, with a combined capacity of 145 million tonnes per annum (mtpa). We have approximately 350 employees working across our business, operating our terminals 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
