Louise McEvoy is a highly experienced Pediatric Emergency Nurse currently working at STEVEN & ALEXANDRA COHEN CHILDREN'S MEDICAL since August 2019. With a distinguished career that began in the nursing field at St. Francis Hospital where Louise served as a Registered Nurse in both Med-surg and High Acuity Emergency Departments, followed by a role as a Clinical Resource Nurse at Cohen Children's Medical Center, Louise has extensive experience in critical care. Additionally, Louise has been a Critical Care Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-CC) with the Port Washington Fire Department since April 1994, taking on various leadership roles. Louise also contributed to nursing education as a clinical adjunct professor at NYU College of Nursing from September 2012 to December 2015. Louise holds a Master of Science in Nursing Education from LIU Post and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marywood University.

The Port Washington Fire Department was established in 1852 with a handful of dedicated citizens to provide the City of Port Washington with a fire service. Although the equipment, methodology, and training has changed one very important part of this equation has remained--ITS MEMBERSHIP. Through their pride, courage, honor, and community involvement the members of the Port Washington Fire Department continue to offer the very best in providing citizens with and tourists with the safest possible city to live in or visit.
