Firmware Engineer at Portable Electric

Shivek Lekhi has worked at six different companies throughout their career. In 2010, they were a Summer Trainee at Imbuent Technologies Pvt. Ltd. In 2011, they were an Intern at CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation, where they worked as part of a large multi-disciplined team, instrumenting Electrostatic based gas sensor maneuvers through servo motor speed and rotation controlled by Atmel 8051 microcontroller. From 2014 to 2018, they were a Senior Research Associate at CSIR - Center of Excellence in Farm Machinery, where they configured Yaskawa AC VFD and developed a seed planter testing system. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Research Scholar at Lakehead University, where they simulated UAV attitude estimation, and control algorithms in MATLAB, and implemented sensor fusion algorithms like complementary filter and Kalman filter. Lastly, since 2020, they have been a Firmware Developer at Yieldpoint Inc., where they have been doing firmware development for embedded SoC using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology for ARM Cortex-M4 core, debugging code using JTAG debugger on Eclipse-based IDEs including Segger Embedded Studio and Simplicity studio, and designing, prototyping, and testing software on customized hardware to ensure the reliability of the product. In 2022, they will become a Firmware Engineer at Portable Electric.

Shivek Lekhi obtained a B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication from Lovely Professional University between 2008 and 2012. In 2014, they obtained the Embedded Systems - Shape the world certification from edX. Shivek then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Lakehead University between 2017 and 2019.
