Cynthia Quintal

Ms. Cynthia Quintal has worked in post-secondary education for over 18 years at Portage College. In 2004, Quintal moved to Edmonton to work for the provincial government as a Senior Budget Officer, and Budget Manager. In 2007, Quintal and her family returned to Lac La Biche. She resumed employment with Portage College and worked in various finance-related roles including budgets and forecasts, financial reporting, and administration.

Quintal earned a Master’s of Business Administration, and a Graduate Diploma from the Australia Institute of Business (2017). She attended Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and obtained a Business Administration Diploma in Accounting (1994). Cynthia started her educational journey at Portage College in 1992, completing her Business Administration Certificate at the Lac La Biche Campus.

In her current role as Chief Financial Officer, she is responsible for strategic leadership in all aspects of financial administration, financial reporting, fiscal management and oversight, internal controls, assurance, and compliance.
