Erin Duffy Omcikus is a software engineer currently working at Portage Learning since May 2023. Prior to this, Erin served as an LTS Reading Specialist at Mt. Lebanon School District from January 2021 to February 2022, where responsibilities included communicating with parents about reading strategies, administering assessments, and collaborating on student screenings. Erin's experience also includes remote teaching at Commonwealth Charter Academy Cyber Charter School as a Fifth Grade Language Arts Remediator and supervising reading specialist candidates at the University of Pittsburgh. Additionally, Erin taught 6th grade language arts at Benchmark School, held graduate assistant roles at West Chester University, and coordinated a Girls Advisory Board for the Chester County Fund for Women and Girls. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Reading and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from West Chester University, complemented by training at App Academy.
