Gabi Makari

Gabi Makari is an Associate, Portage Ventures at Portage and joined the firm in 2022. As a member of Portage, Gabi invests in early-stage and growth-stage fintech opportunities globally. She is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including origination, due diligence, execution, and portfolio management. Gabi is based in New York, United States.

Prior to Sagard, Gabi worked at Primary Venture Partners and Activant Capital. Gabi also spent three years as a consultant at Accenture Strategy, where she focused on the retail and consumer sector. Gabi started her career in start-ups, working at an enterprise SaaS company called Optoro.

Gabi holds a B.A. from Brown University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
